Can You Get to The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show at the Pantages Theatre From Downtown Minneapolis Without a Car? Tuesday, Dec. 8

Some of the best nights in Minneapolis happen on a Tuesday. On Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2026, BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon bring The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show to the Pantages Theatre on Hennepin Avenue, with one performance at 7 p.m. If you are planning to come downtown for it, the practical question is where to stay and how to get there without moving a car at night.

What is The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show?

According to Hennepin Arts, it is billed as a comedy show: “the greatest holiday show south of the North Pole,” now in its ninth year, with new songs, dance numbers and costumes every season. The listing shows a single performance, Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m., with a ticket limit of eight per purchase. Hennepin Arts also points to the show’s own site for VIP add-ons.

Why stay downtown for a single Tuesday-night show?

A one-night engagement is exactly the kind of date that is easy to book a room for and hard to travel home from. Staying in the downtown core means you can have dinner, see the show and be done without a late drive. The Pantages sits in the Hennepin Theatre District, and the same district has several holiday offerings, so it is worth a look at the Hennepin Arts calendar if you want to add a second night.

The 1889 Oakland’s on 9th brownstone and the South 9th Street sidewalk in downtown Minneapolis, a base for a Hennepin Avenue night out

Can you get to the Pantages from Oakland’s on 9th without a car?

Oakland’s on 9th is at 215 South 9th Street, downtown. The skyway is one block away; it is not connected to the building, so you walk a block to reach it. For the trip to Hennepin Avenue we are not going to promise a walking time or a particular route, because conditions change with the weather and with construction. Use the Metro Transit trip planner with your show date and time, and give yourself room before the 7 p.m. curtain.

What is it like to stay here?

Oakland’s on 9th is a furnished, month-to-month studio apartment hotel in an 1889 brownstone, restored in 2019. Studios have full kitchens, WiFi, utilities, heat and free laundry included, and there are no contracts: book a night, a week or a month. A show night is a good fit if you want a place to come back to afterward, with real space to spread out and a kitchen for the next morning.
