Can You Get to AEW Worlds End at Target Center From Downtown Minneapolis Without a Car? Saturday, Dec. 19

AEW Worlds End comes to Target Center on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2026, and the arena’s own calendar lists a 6:00 p.m. start. It is the fourth annual Worlds End and the first one held in the Twin Cities, according to Wrestling Inc., and tickets went on sale Oct. 5. If you are flying or driving in for the weekend, the easiest plan is to sleep downtown and leave the car parked.

What do we know about AEW Worlds End in Minneapolis?

The date, the building and the on-sale date are confirmed. Wrestling Inc. also reports that Tony Khan said the show will again host the Continental Classic tournament final, and that this is the first Worlds End not held in the last week of the year. We have not seen a published card, so check AEW’s own channels for the matches before you plan around a specific performer. Dates and times on Target Center’s event calendar can change, so confirm them before you book.

What else is happening at Target Center that week?

The arena is busy around the show. Here is what its calendar lists for the days on either side:

  • Wed., Dec. 16, 8:30 p.m.: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers
  • Fri., Dec. 18, 7:00 p.m.: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers
  • Sat., Dec. 19, 6:00 p.m.: AEW Worlds End
  • Sun., Dec. 20, 7:00 p.m.: for KING + COUNTRY, A Drummer Boy Christmas
  • Mon., Dec. 21, 7:00 p.m.: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns

That is five event nights in six days, so if you are building a long weekend around the wrestling, it is worth booking early. We covered the earlier January and February shows in this Target Center guide.

Why does a furnished studio work for an event weekend?

Oakland’s on 9th is a furnished, month-to-month studio apartment hotel at 215 South 9th Street, in a restored 1889 brownstone. You can stay a night, a week or a month, with no contract. Every studio is fully furnished with a full kitchen, and WiFi, all utilities, heat and free laundry are included. Some units are pet friendly.

For a show weekend that means you can eat before the bell without hunting for a table, do a load of laundry between days, and come back to a place that feels like a small apartment instead of a hotel room. We offer three tiers of studio, Good, Better and Best, so you can pick the one that fits your group.

Can you really do it without a car?

You can plan to, and it is the point of staying downtown. We are one block from the skyway, not connected to it, so you walk a block to reach it. We have not timed the walk to Target Center, so look at a map or use Metro Transit’s trip planner and check the route and conditions for your travel day. In December, that is worth doing rather than guessing.

If you are staying for more than the wrestling, our guide to the Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show at the Pantages covers another December night out from the same front door.
