For the first time ever, WWE is bringing a full stadium event to Minneapolis. SummerSlam 2026 takes over U.S. Bank Stadium for two nights — Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 — and downtown is going to feel it. Two stadium-sized crowds, a fan festival at the convention center, and hotel rooms disappearing fast. If you’re coming in for the weekend (or making a longer Minneapolis trip of it), here’s the good news: you can stay in a fully furnished studio a short walk from the stadium, and skip the parking scramble entirely.
SummerSlam weekend at a glance
This is the 39th SummerSlam and only the second ever held in Minneapolis — the first since 1999, back when it fit inside Target Center. This time it’s a two-night premium event at U.S. Bank Stadium, with matches split across Saturday and Sunday evenings. Around the main event, Meet Minneapolis has a full slate of fan happenings, including SummerSlam Takeover, the free-to-attend fan celebration at the Minneapolis Convention Center with Superstar meet-and-greets, exclusive merch, and photo ops. Stay a short walk from U.S. Bank Stadium
Oaklands on 9th sits at 215 South 9th Street, in the heart of downtown — about a 15-minute walk from U.S. Bank Stadium, straight through the core of the city (or through the climate-controlled Skyway for most of the route).
