What’s Playing at The Fillmore Minneapolis This Fall? Shows From September to December 2026

If you are staying downtown this autumn and you like your music loud and close, The Fillmore Minneapolis is the room to know. It sits at 525 5th Street North in the North Loop — about a mile from our front door on South 9th Street — and its fall calendar runs from punk royalty to jazz-fusion drum prodigies without pausing for breath.

Here is what is booked between now and the end of the year, taken from the venue’s own show listings. Doors and start times shift show to show, so check your ticket before you set out.

October 2026: the Sex Pistols, Thundercat and a Halloween double

Halloween weekend gives you back-to-back nights in the same room. If you are already downtown for the rest of October, we rounded up the month’s other big dates — two Vikings home games, the Timberwolves opener and a car-free Sunday on Hennepin.

Getting there from Oakland’s on 9th

It is roughly a mile from 215 South 9th Street to the venue — about a twenty-minute walk straight through downtown, and a pleasant one in September. In November it is a different proposition, and most guests take a bus or a short rideshare instead. Metro Transit’s trip planner will give you the current best route, and it is worth checking rider alerts before you leave: light-rail service through downtown has been running on a replacement-bus programme through the summer, and the arrangements have changed more than once.

Driving in is the expensive option on a show night. Ramps around the North Loop fill early and price up, which is one reason our guests tend to leave the car parked — we cover the realities of that in our guide to parking at the Oaklands.

Eat first, then walk over

Trax Burgers & Bar is inside the venue and takes reservations, which solves the pre-show scramble. But one of the quiet advantages of a furnished studio with a full kitchen is that you can eat properly at home for a fraction of the price and still be in the room before the opener. Over a run of three or four shows, that adds up to real money — and our FAQ covers what is already in the studio.

Staying a while

If you are following a tour, working a season downtown, or simply want more than one night of this, our studios are furnished month-to-month with no contracts — a night, a week or a month, with WiFi, all utilities and free laundry included. Choose from Good, Better and Best, and some units are pet friendly.

There is more to do downtown than we can fit here — see our things to do in Minneapolis page, and if you are travelling with people who would rather see the city by daylight, the Minneapolis Trolley runs scenic and ghost tours from a historic mansion a mile south.

Ready to book? Check availability at Oakland’s on 9th or call us at (612) 314-5124. We will keep the light on.
