Some of the best shows coming to Minneapolis this summer aren’t at a stadium or an arena — they’re at the Armory, the historic drill hall turned concert venue at 500 South 6th Street. Kehlani, LCD Soundsystem, Wizkid, SLANDER, and a stacked Summer Jam lineup are all on the calendar between late July and mid-August 2026.
Here’s the part out-of-town fans usually figure out too late: the Armory sits right in the middle of downtown, and places to stay within walking distance go fast on show weekends. Oaklands on 9th is a furnished studio apartment hotel in a restored 1889 brownstone at 215 South 9th Street — a short walk from the Armory’s front doors — and you can book a single night, a whole weekend, or a month.

Who’s playing the Armory: the summer 2026 lineup

- SLANDER, two nights — Friday and Saturday, August 7–8, 2026. 18+, doors at 8:00 both nights; Night 1 features Trivecta B2B Nurko, and Night 2 brings NGHTMRE.
- Summer Jam — Saturday, August 15, 2026. All ages, doors at 6:30, show at 8:00, with G Herbo, K Camp, Hunxho, and more.

Dates and door times above come straight from the Armory’s official event pages — double-check there before you buy, and don’t sit on tickets for the bigger names. Looking further ahead? O.A.R. with Gavin DeGraw and KT Tunstall lands on September 1.
Walk to the show, walk home after
The best concert amenity downtown isn’t a perk at all — it’s proximity. Stay at Oaklands on 9th and there’s no event-night parking ramp to hunt down, no surge-priced ride home, and no crawling out of a garage at midnight with a few thousand other fans. You walk out of the Armory and you’re back at your studio in minutes. If you’d rather not drive into the city at all, Metro Transit buses and trains also stop throughout downtown.

Every studio comes fully furnished with a full kitchen, WiFi, all utilities, and free laundry — so you can make a pre-show dinner, wash the concert clothes the next morning, and generally live like a local instead of camping in a hotel room. Some units are pet friendly, and there are no contracts: stay a night, a week, or a month across our Good, Better, and Best tiers.
In town for more than one night? August is stacked
These shows land in the busiest stretch of the Minneapolis summer. Kehlani’s August 6 date doubles as opening night of the Minnesota Fringe Festival (August 6–16), and the weekend before, WWE SummerSlam takes over U.S. Bank Stadium (August 1–2) — both an easy walk from our door. Build in a free morning and ride Minneapolis Trolley Tours to see the city, or browse everything else happening downtown on Meet Minneapolis. Traveling as a couple and want a splurge night? Our sister property 300 Clifton is a restored mansion B&B a few minutes away.
If you’re eyeing one of these shows, book the room before the tickets sell the neighborhood out. Check dates and rates at our booking page, or call us at (612) 314-5124 — we’re happy to help you pick the right studio for a concert weekend.
