Can You Get to Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Target Center From Downtown Minneapolis Without a Car? Dec. 27
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is bringing its 30th anniversary “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” tour to Target Center on Sunday, December 27, with shows at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., according to Target Center’s announcement. If you would rather park once and leave the car alone for the whole trip, a furnished studio at Oakland’s on 9th puts you downtown for the show and the days around it.
When is Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Target Center?
Sunday, December 27, 2026, with a 3:00 p.m. matinee and a 7:30 p.m. evening show at Target Center, 600 First Avenue North. One housekeeping note: the announcement page lists the year inconsistently (2026 in the page description, 2027 in the body), so confirm your date at checkout when you buy tickets through Ticketmaster, which the arena names as the place to buy. Tickets went on sale in September. TicketNews describes the 2026 tour as a 56-city run marking 30 years since the band’s debut album, and Minneapolis gets this single date.
Can you do Target Center without a car?
Plenty of people do. Oakland’s on 9th is at 215 South 9th Street, in the downtown core, and the building sits a block from the skyway. To be clear, we are not connected to the skyway; you walk a block to reach it. We are not going to put a walking time on a December trip to the arena, because a December Sunday could mean anything from a mild afternoon to a windchill. Instead, plan your route with the Metro Transit trip planner, which shows current options from your door, and keep a rideshare in your back pocket for the late show.

Why a furnished studio works for a holiday concert weekend
A hotel room is fine for one night. But the Sunday after Christmas is a long weekend for plenty of families, and a studio gives you more room to spread out. Every studio at Oakland’s on 9th is fully furnished with a full kitchen, and WiFi, all utilities, heat and free laundry are included. There are no contracts: stay a night, a week or a month. That means you can cook Christmas leftovers, do the laundry before the trip home, and pack up without negotiating a lease.

The building itself is a piece of the story. It is an 1889 brownstone designed by Harry Wild Jones, restored in 2019, and if you like old buildings, the grand staircase and the mahogany balusters are worth a slow walk on your way out to a show.
