Yes, you can stay downtown and get to a Vikings home game at U.S. Bank Stadium without renting a car. Oakland’s on 9th is a furnished, month-to-month studio apartment hotel at 215 South 9th Street, and the stadium is on the downtown side of the city. This guide covers the home games still ahead this season, with dates and kickoff times taken from the Vikings’ official schedule.
Which Vikings home games are left in November and December?
The stadium’s own events page and the Vikings schedule agree on four dates:
- Monday, November 9 — Buffalo Bills, 7:15 p.m. kickoff, on ESPN.
- Sunday, November 29 — Atlanta Falcons, noon kickoff, on FOX.
- Sunday, December 6 — Carolina Panthers, 3:25 p.m. kickoff, on CBS.
- Sunday, December 20 — Detroit Lions, 7:20 p.m. kickoff, on NBC.
Two more home games, against the Commanders and the Bears, are listed without dates or times yet. The schedule page also warns that some games are subject to NFL flexible scheduling, so a date or kickoff time can change. One more thing to watch: the 49ers game on November 22 is listed as a Vikings “home” game, but its venue is Estadio Banorte, so it is not at U.S. Bank Stadium. Check the schedule again the week you travel.

Why a studio beats a hotel room for a night game
A Monday night kickoff at 7:15 p.m. means a late night out. A studio gives you somewhere to eat before the game, wash up after it and sleep without hurrying out the next morning. Every studio at Oakland’s on 9th is fully furnished with a full kitchen, and WiFi, all utilities, heat and free laundry are included. There are no contracts, so you can book one night for the game or stay a week or a month. Some units are pet friendly.
If you are in town for work and the game is a treat, the same studio works as a base for the whole stretch. Our guide to getting to a Timberwolves game at Target Center shows how the same idea works for the basketball homestand.
How to get to the stadium without a car
Oakland’s on 9th is a short walk from Nicollet Mall and a block from the downtown skyway. To be clear, the building itself is not connected to the skyway; you walk a block to reach it. We have not timed the walk to the stadium, so put your studio address and the stadium address (401 Chicago Avenue) into the Metro Transit trip planner for the route on your game day. On event days, leave a little extra time and check Metro Transit for any alerts before you head out.
