Since we are on the subject of bad renovations, look what they did to this once gorgeous mansion behind the Oaklands by 1936. It went from the Dunsmoor Mansion down a long slide to the Dunsmoor Apartments, but
held on longer than almost any old mansion downtown. It was certainly the last in that area of 10th St which until the 1920s had monumental Pillsbury mansions on the other two facing corners of the block.
