Really cool story here: Rewind to the beginning two years ago when Oaklands was burnt with no roof. Chief of the Park Police Jason Ohotto was volunteering and tearing out a wall (pictured) and he found a timecapsule: a newspaper purposely put in the wall in 1985, the entertainment section with Prince on the cover. Richard Benson saw the post on FB and asked for the newspaper. We said ‘sure’ and he came by to get it (pictured). Surprise! He said he was going to frame it for us for posterity. Richard came to the Progress Party (pictured with Madonna) and then two years of construction elapsed. Now we are constructing the History Wall and Richard brought back Prince!! So excited for Prince to be on the wall instead of in the wall. Another example of how architecture connects us for generations!
