It took all day to remove this old sink pipe from the wall and patch it back up. In 1920, a mechanic garage was built up against the side of the Oaklands. This is a sink pipe that was cut into the wall at some point. Looks later than the 20s because it is galvanized. When they removed the building in the 70s, they left the plumbing in the wall. It looked janky so I took it out and replaced the smashed out bricks. Some day in 100 years, someone is going to wonder how burnt bricks from the roof got down into the middle of the side wall!
