In August 2026 the Minnesota Twins play eleven home games there in two stretches: a long homestand August 10–19 against the Orioles, Phillies, and Braves, and a fireworks-capped weekend series against the White Sox August 28–30. One schedule quirk worth knowing: the Thursday, August 13 Twins–Phillies game is officially a Twins home game, but it’s being played at the Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa, and August 14 is an off day — so the series picks back up at Target Field on Saturday night. Staying into September? The Detroit Tigers arrive Monday, August 31 at 6:40 p.m. to start a Labor Day–week series. Friday night fireworks — and State Fair weekend (August 28–30)
The Friday, August 28 game against the White Sox ends with postgame fireworks over the ballpark, and Friday home games come with a pregame happy hour from gates open until first pitch — details on the Twins promotions page. Stay the whole homestand
The August 10–19 stretch packs eight Target Field games into ten days — the kind of run that’s a hassle from a suburban hotel and a pleasure from a walkable studio. Every studio at Oaklands on 9th is fully furnished with a full kitchen, and WiFi, all utilities, and free laundry are included. One date to circle: Saturday, August 15 is the biggest night downtown all month. The Twins face the Phillies at 6:10 p.m. while Ed Sheeran plays U.S. Bank Stadium a few blocks the other direction — rooms will go fast, so book that weekend early.
Getting to the ballpark: walking, parking, and transit
On foot, Target Field is about a 20-minute walk from Oaklands — head up Nicollet Mall and follow the crowd in Twins gear.
