Do the studios have kitchens?
Yes — every studio has a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and dishes, pots, and utensils.
Is breakfast or coffee provided?
Breakfast isn’t served, but every studio has a full kitchen plus a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided, so you can make your own. The 24-hour Nicollet Diner and downtown cafés are also a short walk away.
What’s included in the rate?
All utilities (heat, electricity, water), free high-speed WiFi and ethernet, free 24-hour on-site laundry, individual heat and A/C, and instant hot water are all included.
Can I stay just one night, or do I need a lease?
You can stay a night, a week, or a month with no contracts and no lease. Monthly stays are the lowest rate.
What are the studio types?
Three furnished tiers: Good (most affordable, compact), Better (extra living and work space with a large desk), and Best (the largest, with city views, a bay window, an electric fireplace, and a queen bed).
How do I check in, and is there staff on site?
Check-in is contactless: you receive a personal keycode for the building and your studio before arrival, so you can let yourself in anytime — no waiting at a front desk. Staff are on-site day and night and reachable by phone or message if you need anything; there isn’t a traditional front-desk concierge.
Is there an elevator, or are there stairs?
Oaklands on 9th is a historic 1889 building, and access to the studios is by stairs — there is no guest elevator. Please keep this in mind if stairs are a concern, and feel free to contact us before booking with any questions.
What time is check-out, and can I stay later?
Check-out is 10:00 AM. A late check-out is available for an added fee when you arrange it in advance — just ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Is parking available?
Yes — convenient parking is available right at the door (Parking Lot 215).
Are pets allowed?
Yes — Oaklands on 9th is pet friendly, with designated pet-friendly studios for cats and dogs. Request a pet-friendly room when you book.
